There are six individual museums in Mindelheim, four of which are known together as the “Museen im Colleg”. The Textile Museum / Sandtner Foundation, the Swabian Nativity Museum, the Southern Swabian Archaeological Museum and the Carl Millner Gallery are housed in the former Jesuit College building and form a “focal point museum” of the Swabian administrative district.
The Swabian Tower Clock Museum is located in the former chapel of St Sylvester, which is only a few minutes’ walk from the “Museen im Colleg”.
The Museum of Local History, which was founded in 1903, is closed for the next few years and will reopen with a comprehensive new design concept.
